Let there be light.

Nothing compares to candle light. I would choose lighting a bunch of tea lights on the kitchen table over flicking on the overhead. Candle light is inviting, warm and feels like home. These images made me feel pretty good actually.

Upper East Side Glamour!

Obsessed with the idea of having an ultra updated Christmas party. Love it actually, these photos are from last years holiday issue of Domino. The white Christmas tree with the over sized black bulbs, edgy party invites, Polaroids highlighting the evening and Christmas gifts posing as loot bags for the party guests. I love the chromatic colours schemes of black, red and white and the graphic elements of the invites and wrapping paper. Yeah, I'm obsessed and I would love to throw something this wicked myself. $$$

Tis' the season!

Granted, the pink tree is a little much but I love the idea of putting a modern twist on Christmas. Pretty excited for the approaching holiday season, need to make the home as festive as possible. These photos are stunning, Christmas parties GALORE! Love it.

Inspiration.

I don't really know why I'm blogging. I don't even know if anyone is going to read my blog. I think I'm doing this for inspiration. I'm constantly inspired by photos, places, fashion, design, people and I thought it might be interesting to keep these images all in one place. I need inspiration... I don't know what my next step is going to be but hopefully, by keeping my thoughts down in one place, it will lead me to where I need to be.

I thought the first post should be about Inspiration boards. I love them. It makes me pretty happy to see them and to see people actually using them. I don't have one...maybe this should be my next step.
